Afterpay has been announced as the Arena’s new naming rights partner, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of Australia’s leading live entertainment, sporting and cultural venues. The announcement was made on 20 May, 2026. The naming transition will not take effect until later in the year. During this period, all venue, event and ticketing information will continue to refer to the current Arena name while branding updates are completed in the background. The changeover date is referred to as “Launch Day”.

Yes. The venue will continue to operate as normal throughout the transition. There is no impact on events, ticket holders, staff, suppliers, or day-to-day operations.

The partnership will run for five years until 2031. It will leverage Block’s complete payment system, bringing together Afterpay’s flexible payment solution for ticket purchases and Square’s integrated payments and POS platform across every in-venue transaction. Fans can split ticket purchases across four interest-free installments, while Square powers faster food, beverage, and merchandise transactions throughout the venue – minimising time away from the live experience and keeping fans where they came to be.

The date that Qudos Bank Arena branding switches to Afterpay Arena. You will be notified of the exact date soon. We will notify you at least one month in advance of Launch Day, so you have sufficient time to prepare.

Approximately one month prior to Launch Day, we will provide you with a marketing pack with all the relevant assets, key dates, a brand style guide, and customer FAQs, which will also be available on our website. From Launch Day onwards, please ensure that the new venue is referred to as Afterpay Arena, formerly Qudos Bank Arena. This will minimise any confusion with ticket holders. If you have specific format requirements or use the venue logo as part of a co-branded tour artwork template, please contact us as soon as possible so we can accommodate your needs.

Yes, all contracts created during the Qudos Bank Arena naming rights period remain valid.

Yes. Our website URL, social media handles and page names will be updated on Launch Day. Existing website links and bookmarks will automatically redirect, so no action is needed from ticket holders. On social media, we will update our handles and page names across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn on Launch Day. We will announce the change across these channels and encourage partners to share these updates where relevant. We recommend updating any saved links, website references, ticketing pages or marketing materials from Launch Day. The new URL and social handles will be included in the brand asset pack issued one month prior.

All current ticket holders were contacted directly on 20 May to advise them of the announcement and to confirm that nothing changes regarding their existing event. For events taking place after Launch Day, ticket holders will be notified and digital tickets will be updated to Afterpay Arena, formerly Qudos Bank Arena. We will also provide you with a ticket holder FAQ document that you can share with your audience if needed.

Nothing changes with the booking or ticketing process. Consumers will continue to purchase tickets through Ticketek. Digital tickets will automatically reference Afterpay Arena, formerly Qudos Bank Arena, from Launch Day onwards and ticket holders will be advised of the changeover when purchasing.

No. Buy-now-pay-later will be available as an optional payment method for ticket holders who wish to spread the cost of their purchase over time. It is not mandatory.

The new naming rights partnership will include an upgrade of spaces which will greatly enhance the patron experience. There will be two new lounges open to all guests of the Arena. This includes the former Qudos Bank Member Lounge and the QBar.
